Accreditation Process
The Joint Commission
on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) has set forth
a mandate that will require each accredited organization to enroll in
one or more performance measurements systems that are listed with the
accrediting body. It is then the responsibility of the listed performance
measurement system to provide comparative performance data to the health
care accrediting body, to allow ongoing evaluation of actual performance
as part of the accreditation process.
